I love the silhouette effect here. The background is much more detailed than the foreground, which leaves so much more up to the imagination. Very romantic image.

I really like the warm colour in the photo. I'd like to picture what it would have looked like if you were a black sillohette.

Beatiful! I love how you have back-lite the umbrella so that the design on it is clearly seen. I like how the shot also has a sepia tone to it. Was this preposly done or did it just happen naturally?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

shutterbug13 In reply to LilAngles [2006-11-30 01:59:51 +0000 UTC]

the tone was natural, there was no change it was created from the tone of the umbrella, and getting the design to show, well thats a matter of properly exposing

thank you

"Yes, the painting of the screens!
We sit inside the screens
And contemplate the view
That's painted on the screens,
More beautiful than true!
Beyond the screens that glide aside
Are further screens that open wide...
And no one glances in...
And no one chances out...
And kings are burning somewhere,
Not here!"

Part of "The Advantages of Floating in the Middle of the Sea", the opening number in the Stephen Sondheim musical, "Pacific Overtures".

Wonderful picture.

the fact that your chest is showing so much takes away from the entire photo. and i cant see why it was needed in this shot. the parasol is beautiful and your expression goes well. but the cleavage makes the bottom half of the photo look trashy . i have mixed emotions on this photo .

shutterbug13 In reply to if-u-could-only-see [2006-09-17 04:40:17 +0000 UTC]

i'd rather not be called trashy, but your opinion is yours.
i personally, wanted the curves and shapes to be shown
thanks for the comment

well, if you read the comment over, i did not call u trashy . i didnt say "meghan u look trashy" because if i thought that then i would have said it. what i meant was, the bottom half of the photo looked innapropriate, for obvious reasons . and again, for the tenth time, my opinion is mine, and your opinion is yours, but i dont want you to be miss led.

Great image. The light & shadow brings out every contour of you...and though the parasol/umbrella should dominate the scene, it doesn't. There's something so drawing and hypnotic about this photograph... I like it very much.

Really nice work, Megs. You're definitely hot shit.

Cheers, buddy. --

i..think..i..just..swallowed..my..tongue.

i love it. obvious reasons, im sure, first and foremost being that its yours, second and less important being the fabulous Oriental aspect. The goldish lighting really adds an aura of authenticity to it... I think one in red, too, would rock my world. It'd be modern art appropriate enough for any of my traditional (Chinese) family members. Wow this is a long comment. I'll stop. My point was only that its fab and Asian. And i think you have the most perfect collarbone I've ever seen. But really, I'll stop now.
