Catching up with Inktober! Next literary character for this month is the famous Sherlock Holmes. I'll immediately admit that I haven't actually read more than a few short stories from the series by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, but I kinda love how Sherlock is such a delightful know-it-all and the whole world just sorta admires him for it without a trace of annoyance (to some extent, at least). Aimed for a bit of a noir feeling with this one, just pretend the pipe is a cigarette and the silly old cap a fedora. Isn't there some film noir or neo noir re-imaging of Sherlock Holmes out there? If there isn't I feel there should be, soon as we all get Benedict Cumberbatch out of our system.
