Last year I had wanted to participate in the Heroes of the Storm Contest. Unfortunately, by the time the deadline rolled by, I had only finished the grayscale version of this drawing, and since I had a lot of other things going on, I shelved the project and kinda forgot about it. A while back I decided I wanted to finish some old drawings and concepts before starting with even more new stuff, so I finally managed to finish this piece
It's was a nice change of pace from my latest deviations, so I had fun working on it. The characters depicted are Tyrael, the Angel of Justice, vs. Illidan Stormrage, the Betrayer. From the Blizzard games Diablo and World of Warcraft, respectively.

Wow, the first thing that strikes me, is the light! The contrast and transparency make it a powerful and dynamic scene. Although it is very bright and almost illuminated, it seems to me as if you added a filter to tone down the gold and neon green accents, did you? I like the shadows and reflections too, especially on Tyrael and the green sword/sabre. Keep up the good work!

Thank you very much for the positive feedback! I did indeed tone down some of the colours, particularly the green, to keep it from dominating the scene too much.
