I always wondered why Tar-Telperien never married - she was the only ruler of Numenor to never marry. I guess she valued her independence.

It was not so much independence as unwilingness to share power. As per canon, at least it was how I read it.

she wouldn't like to hear it i'm sure, but she looks a bit like rowan atkinson when in small-view... good work on this and all the others; art nouveau is a tough style that you've done really well with.

Gosh, I have been neglecting my inbox for much too long, I totally missed these beauties!
How great so see that you also work on Númenoreans, sadly there's not much art of that time span around. Since this one is my favourite of the series, I decided to go here, but please accept my praise for all of them! They are gorgeous.
This one in particular strikes me with her expression and pose. The folds and wrinkles on her dress are beautifully done, and the patterns are so lovely! Maybe the hands could use some work, I think that her right (that we see left) is a wee bit too big, and the other one seems slightly off as well. The wavy line of her right arm seems a tad odd, too, but that's all the issues I have with this. As I said, the pose and expression are amazing, the slightly raised eyebrows and look-down-her-nose: wonderful. What puts me a bit off is also that the background pattern is not perfectly round - I think for a better effect you might want to make it either perfectly round or more visibly oval/add another bow to it - at least that's hwo I feel. Your shading is exquisite, the collar downright perfect and her hair.... I adore it.
