It's funny, a year before Cars even came out I built my real life tow truck, and have since spent the last 6 years hearing everyone call it Mater...

Adorable! I'm trying to study your work to learn how to give the cars that "alive" look, like how McQueen's tires are braced as he's sliding to a stop. My brain still wants to draw them as stationary vehicles with the tires directly inline beneath the frame.
Careful, McQueen, or you'll get a tow hook between the eyes!

Thanks...I still find it tricky now and then to not make them TOO stiff, but they don't ALWAYS have to be moving around I suppose. You gotta have a nice mix

I watched this on dvd for the.....25th + or so time just last week. I thought I'd hate it when it came out as the character designs reminded me of ones I'd seen for a fuel company, but Pixar just surprised me again.
