Argh! Not more fanart! *sigh* Yes, more fanart. It's "Sweeney Todd" this time, my current musical obsession.Mrs. Lovett proposes her idea of a resourceful way of disposing of Sweeney's... Clients. (he hasn't quite grasped it yet) Well, recycling is good, right?
Admitted shortcomings: I obviously didn't look at period clothes, the foreshortening of her hands and arms was devilishly hard, and the perspective might look a little wonky 'cause I was just wingin' it. Also, I didn't pay much attention to the composition, I mostly just splatted a scene onto the canvas.

Todd's hair looks too short and weird. I didn't notice the hands until you pointed them out. I'm not sure who it looks more like, Hearn or Cariou.
Nice depiction of Lovett, I never really cared much for the Lovett horns.
I have a question because I'm notoriously picky: Why is there a bloody razor when Sweeney didn't kill anyone before ALP other than Pirelli, who's blood he wiped of the razor.
I'm sorry, I had to ask...
Wonderful drawing by the way, I've been trying to get my hands on a tablet forever but I cannot seem to find one anywhere near here. And I can't exactly purchase one online...

Todd's hair isn't usually shaved on the sides, but I like it that way because I think it makes him look neater and more barber-esque (if rather weird). I took artistic liberties and included the bloody razor for effect - though he's normally cleaned up by this point, the pic just wouldn't be the same without it, no?

The man who wrote it, Thomas Prest, was known to steal plots for his stories from old police files. So who knows? Certainly the catacombs beneath St. Dunstan's could have hidden secrets...

I really like this one you see the Musical is brilliant but I hate the movie for some reason prehaps cause they cut most of my favourite numbers in it oh well...
I really like it Sweeney looks exatly like I normally picture him ^^ Mrs Lovett however looks a little too soft somehow any ways I am faving this ^^

Thank you! I didn't like the movie either for a number of reasons, especially the casting (singing?? 
I didn't really base their looks on any actors in particular, but I actually prefer a slightly softer interpretation of Mrs. Lovett, perhaps because my favorite Lovett ever (in a production I saw) played her that way.

I love red being the only "color." It looks good; only I think Todd's anatomy is a little off, too. The shoulders, especially.

I think Helena has been the sexiest Lovett by far. "Notice my cleavage" screams Tim Burton's Lovett. I love Angela Lansbury's Lovett also. I just noticed you made this before the movie came out. Lovely picture
