Back in March I painted the Abney Park [link] logo on the back of one of my leather jackets. I got around to taking a photo yesterday at Maker Faire, so you good folks can see it. It was done with acrylic paint in about two hours.Related content

By any chance, would you know if it would work that way for pleather as well?

I'm not entirely certain, but it probably would work on pleather. However, just in general pleather is nowhere near as durable as leather. In the time since I painted my other leather jacket with red, I had a very nice pleather jacket that started peeling. After a while pleather just goes, so I wouldn't do anything to pleather that I wanted to still have in five or ten years.

Not bad. I have another leather jacket I painted red in large patches about ten years ago now. I've worn the hell out of it over the years, and the acrylic has stuck to it stunningly well. I expect to get some cracking where the leather creases, but that should just add to the charm.
