Severus Snape has not murdered sleep - which is not to say all is well in his dreams...PLEASE do me the favour of trying the "full view"...

Wow! I really love the shading on the cloak!
But it's like really well shaded and the rest isn't, he doesn't really match in with the background because of the lack of shading, but he has a shadow on the sofa but not on the floor

Thanks! But ... I'm not sure I can explain at all how you should draw people :/. I am self-taught; I have no idea how I should start telling someone else how to draw. I can only say that I started out by copying the work of illustrators and comics artists, and bought a few "How To" books as well. I think exercise is the only thing that helps: copying, comparing, trying to figure out where you went wrong... I started doing that when I was about thirteen or fourteen, so it took me some twelve years to get here, and some will tell you that 'here' is not that far

I've had this crazy craving for a picture of Snape sleeping, so thank you for reading my mind! I really love your use of graphite too; the folds of his robes are just great--the textures, and grey scale of it---oh! And those shoes! Don't even get me started on how much I love those shoes. I either want a pair, or I'd like to marry him just to borrow them.
