an enemy soldier; Bernie attacked and basically killed the soldier in anger (she is very tough; they say jules and Bernie were always rivals at school and everything... clashed a lot too - jules ended up having a crush on her or something sooooo... sonic appeared and then jules got pretty badly injured in that war and chuck had to robotize him to save him from dying lol (he was alive until penders sued archie hehe)

Well, about that...

Currently the timeline/dimensional plane is divided into roughly 7 different major realities.  2 where Sonic Dies, 1 with video game Sonic and Megaman, 1 with classic Sonic, 1 with Evil Sonic, 1 with a Sonic oriented 90 degrees to the rest of the universe, and of course Sonic Prime.

And the writer is making a few new OFFSHOOTS of the main timeline with the excuse of Dr. Eggman wanting to play god.

But the inconsistency on Jules's injury aren't affected by that!

I'm confused though, that shot's trajectory (at least in that pic) doesn't look even close to his body. It looks like it goes through the left side of his skull, maybe?

And you know what?  Looking at it again, I am once again forced to reconsider whether it is healthy for me to try to memorize a history spanning 14000 years and several different cultures when I can't even remember what I had for lunch the previous day.  Yes, you are quite right, I suppose I was confused a bit by a later panel, which showed his arm in a sling and a bandage (on the left side of his head now that I think about it).  I guess what we have here is the rare but intriguing conclusion of an INTERNET ARGUMENT.  Congratulations, you won!

Well, not exactly.  It was called the Great War because it saw devastation and tragedy unheard of on Mobius.

Two different cultures at the height of their golden ages engaging in all-out combat.
