Description
Second day of my daily notebooking and I decided to draw gifts for two of my friends
chosaguro You always leave such sweet comments on my art, and motivating messages when I feel low. You've also drawn me alot of gifts, so I wanted to draw you something back c:
Eryen was really fun to draw, sadly I think I ended up making her a bit too dark ;n;
I wanted to practice my shading alot, and got so lost in the process I didn't notice how dark it was TT_TT
But overall I'm really happy with it, and I'm especially proud that I actually made a background aswell! I love how the blue and yellow of the sky blended c:
I went a bit crazy with the shinies, but they were so much fun to do, also I think they make her look extra fabulous ~

I decided to draw Lay, as I don't think I've drawn him before, and he was not too difficult to draw traditionally. While drawing him, I actually grew quite fond of him. He is such a handsome man, haha c:
With Lay I had more knowledge when it comes to incorporating colors of the background into the shading, and I think it turned out really well and pretty realistic!
I focused a bit more on exactly where the light hits, and creating more subtle highlights. I think both highlightning techniques look good, but this one isn't as bright as the other
I really hope I did Lay justice, and that you like this little gift from me to you!~
Sadly, my scanner tends to kill the pictures, as they look alot more blended in real life. I'm thinking I might start to take photos of my notebook pictures instead, but it's really dark out right now and I want to upload this today
Oh well, prehaps something to think of in the future ~
Also, thank you everyone who've left such kind comments on my traditional artworks, it honestly makes me so happy to see that you also enjoy my traditional art as much as my digital

I love everything of it, your traditional arts are really amazing and I can't imagine how it would be better if you keep at it, it would look simply perfect and for me, it is already~♪♫
Your lines work is so good and these lil white dots and lines details give a nice touch to the everything. Even the background is beyond amazing, I so like the night sky one you made for Lay! ; O; These blue clouds are my weak spot. <3
In overal, you made a stunning job on mah Lay baby, I should give him more love to be honest, since so long I left it in a corner.
But not only you made a great job on Lay, but aswell on Eryen! These are two gorgeous babies~

I will try my best to upload some traditional works between my digital ones, to keep things more varied and intresting c:
If you're buying professional markers for the first time, I recommend a smaller but well-rounded set to try them out. Also, I recommend getting the Copic Ciao, as they are basically the same as the Sketch, but less pricey. The Ciaos are thinner and contain less ink, but they have the same nibs as the Sketch ones. They don't come in as many colors, but I think they are good to start with c:
You can of course just get the sketch ones right away, I mean, I did
But I still recommend them!
They are super fun to work with, and if you do get them make sure to upload!~

gosh, I remember the first commission I got from you of Eryen back in 2012 (woah it's been some time) and I just see so much improvement at every piece you upload. I've always loved your art style since that time, and I get to love it more and more at every drawing. In my opinion you really have one of the best styles I've ever seen, you're one big inspiration to me, and I really hope you can keep on loving what you do, because you're really awesome at it!!
Now onto this drawing-- Eryen looks indeed fabulous here, her colors are just fine, I really like the shading you did there!! And I love the shinies, TOO FAB. And the sky colors are very pretty too!!!

Oh my, I had to go back and look at it, and looking at it now it's so cringe-worthy but I remember I was really proud when I first made it, haha c:
It's really nice to be able to go waaaaaay back, or just back to the other week, and see improvement. It makes you feel like you're actually getting somewhere with your drawing, and that's a really reassuring feeling
I'm honestly so honored to hear you say that you think of silly old my style as one of the best ones you've seen, I can't explain it with words, it just fills me with so much pride in myself, and how far I've come ;u;
