I'm not doing THAT again. I think I have back problems now ;___;
So here is my first and last full-efforted ArtWeaver image, done on the largest canvas I've ever used on computer: 800 x 1400
! I know.. that's really sad, but it still took so much time!I'm wondering though.. when you use a large canvas, do you draw with the knowledge you will be resizing (thus putting less effort in clean up) or do you make sure that it looks good full size view as well as resize view?
Garble I hate background D:. Apologies for my 'rocks' cause I got really frustrated.. if this was acrylic paint, my paintings would be like a wall thick with overlaying paint D:.. And yay for gibbly birds ^^!
I know nothing of the series, and who the heck this character is, so I apologize if my interpretation of him through this image is incorrect.

you posted this quite a while ago, but yes. when i draw large i do resize. i find if i draw larger then resize, the art quality and lines look much cleaner.

Well that's certainly very interesting. I haven't read the series either, only heard of it before. He looks pretty spiff though.
Heh, rocks. Rocks are cool. I rather like the background. Goes well with him. Though he's pretty bold. More clouds would made totally rocked it.

^^ It looks BEAUTIFUL! Anyway as for me when I use a really big canvas, I clean up so it looks good in full view too...otherwise why use a ginormous canvas? XD But then 800X1400 would be so small for me

I've never heard of the character
The hand that is holding the katana looks a little odd, almost as though he should be grasping it more tightly? Maybe have the fingers curled round the hilt a bit more?
Was the lineart free-hand or computer-drawn? Gorgeous work!

Oh my goodness, I can surely say that this is one of the best Suzu fanarts I've ever seen. 
Although he does have darker skin than what you've given him, this tone also works for him.
I suggest watching the show. It's become one of my favorites and has a wonderful storyline.

If I recall his skin should be abit darker, but otherwise it looks good to me(in the comci I have of PMK, he tends to wear black nail polish aswell xD)

I really like the coloring and the shading... the stance fits his character.. (I think.. hm) but his grip on the sword could be a bit firmer, it looks very light

I just wanna say this, to get it off my chest. His hair is big and it's amazing. I was all like, "Wow" when I saw his hair. And I was like, "It's white too...and he has red eyes..." But enough about my stoner-like comments.
Although you rushed on the the background (rocks), it gives it a soft feeling that brings out the main part of the picture.
And...OMG!! A SWORD!! *steals*
