Let me say this first: I LOVE THIS SPECIES.

It came to me at work just today. I have no idea what went through my mind, but I'm happy it did. These don't have a name quite yet, but they already have a lifestyle.

As you can tell, they don'thave eyes. This is due to the fact that they live deep in the Earth's surface. They have the "feelers" (the tentacle things everywhere) and the "receptors" to make up for it. Also, there is a contant sonar-like wave going out; the large whisker-esque fins recieve it, along with the receptor spots. The more receptors on the dragon's body, the clearer of a picture they recieve. Also, their bodies are covered in a thin layer of water to regulate their temperature.

They're highly intelligent, peaceful, quick on thier feet, and those that have an enormous amount of receptors can "see" color. On the left, the pink recptors mean that they're optional- they could be there as well. This is just a typical one in reference. They could have longer tendrils, more receptors, and come in a wide array of pastel-ish colors.

So, whaddya think? Fun, huh?

Edit: Found a name for them: the Yntha. Yntha's plural, Ynth for just one. They have a love for history and music. They have an vocal way of communicating, like wolves or whales. Most of thier notes are low and always seek harmony with each other, so listening to it is always a wonderful experience.
