Description
I finally was able to complete the monster oil painting commission. 24x30 oils on masonite panel. This has been a huge learning experience in technique and lighting, and I am very pleased with the results. The paint is still wet, so this is unvarnished and some of the pigment areas are uneven in their sheen. This will be corrected once the finish goes on. Closer shot of the dragon and phoenix from the previous photo. Lots of symbolism, with the wounds and blood from a battle hard fought, to the feathers and glow on the newly born bird.
