Description I was going to post it a while ago but don't remember why I didn't. I like it in the sense that it's so carefree.

Beautiful pic! I love how you caught her expression... you're right, she does look very carefree. I also like the depth of field. Lovely shot.

Grayscale can be very good though, its the best medium for showing your ability to have contrast, and to be able to arrange a photo so that its not chaotic or muddy.

IE Her sweater kinda halos her from the dark couch and dark background, her face lifted from it by the under shadows. It's a very light and easygoing piece.

Foreground pillow is annoying, but you've captured emotion very well despite the hand over her face, which I think almost adds to the effect. That's something hard to do, and you've done a fantastic job there.

A lot of emotion. So much joy in this picture. If pictures mean a 1000 words, this one means millions

One question, may I have your permission to apply a few filters to this picture and post it all credits to you? I have an idea that i think would make this even more beautiful. Do you have the original picture without the border if you say yes?

Ok sure...I'm interested which filters you have in mind. Just send me a note with the contact info and hopefully things will get settled. I'm very intrigued as to your proposition.

I guess I'm stupid when it comes to photography but I really love this piece. I never comment on photography because it's just not what I do. I personally like the pillows where they are because it gives it a natural not that studio set up feeling. I think the contrast of her jacket provides enough attraction to her that the background and the foreground don't effect the overall focus of it enough to steal your eyes away from her. I really like the clarity of this. I'm not truly into blurred pictures or grungy items but I really like clean defined lines in most pieces. This is truly wonderful +fav.

I enjoy how raw happiness slips past the veil of her hand. The dress looks conservative, maybe religious -- that adds to the feeling that you are stealing a look at the true person underneath. The only suggestion I have is that this would have been nicer if the face (or something) was in stronger focus.

Although the trousers are a little distracting, I think you have captured a great portrait here. Excellent work.

I also think the pillow in the foreground is distracting, but overall, this is a really pleasing photo. Though her hand is in the way, she could never hide a smile that big and the viewer is graced with a view of innocence. I find the intersecting angles of this photo to be really pleasing, as it allows me to view all parts of the photo without feeling rushed or searching from one part to another. I think you did a great job in setting your subject apart from the background, which can be a bit tricky in black and white photography. Very nice work, here.

Thank you. Actually the 'pillow' is actually her pants. We were louging around and both snapped some photos.

a good emotive snapshot. the B/W adds a feeling of time, or something. it adds feeling, i'll just say that.i wish that pillow wasn't in the corner, but i know you can't exactly relive the moment. good contrast. i might suggest blurring the background a bit in ps, but nothing really to worry about

Mmmm I wouldn't add blur on the background. I like it like this.
I like how spontaneous this picture is. At first, I thought it was too crammed with that white thing hanging in the bacground, and the foreground a little too present, but I changed my mind: it add to the spontaneous aspect of the scene.
However, I would have preferred it a little sharper on the face.

Still a very alive portrait, though. Good job!
