Description Sooner or later my brain will undoubtedly grow tired of serving me pretty Volpe/arrested!Cesare visions, but clearly that day is not today.

It's winter. 1503. Or maybe it's already 1504 by now? Cold, even as far south as Roma. Bitter cold, in a stone room with no fire, and only bars where window glass should have been. Bitter cold, but not as bitter as the cell's current occupant.

Accursed Fox comes and goes as he pleases, of course. What bars could keep him out, he who once robbed the Pope's coach without anyone seeing him, not even the Pope inside the coach? Or maybe he just blackmailed the Pope to keep his mouth shut about the whole business - the bastardo is a master at blackmail, damn him.

Today he's brought strong, sweet wine, though, and God knows the warmth provided is desperately needed. There is no harm in a sip or two. Just for the warmth.

And La Volpe smiles.

Cesare never learns, does he? There is no stopping that fox when there is something he want. Especially if that something is stuck in a cellar.

I think one would realize La Volpe isn't exactly a nice person just from that smile. I'm not sure I want to know what happens next. Except... (knowing next to nothing about the characters) maybe this is a more subtle game? Maybe the fox is trying to tame the man?

I like the little snippet, too.

La Volpe can be nice or unpleasant, depending on his mood and what the situation calls for. He can be completely ruthless and lethally practical in certain matters, but isn't beyond being charming and helpful when it suits him need be.

Here he's just messing with Cesare's mind by being all nice and charming without demanding instant reciprocation - mostly because it amuses him to confuse the man. It pleases him to keep people on their toes; no-one must ever truly understand the mind of the fox. >3

Why, thank you!
Most pictures I draw come with a short backstory, I just don't write them own so often. I'm glad to know it's appreciated when I do.

To be honest although I love the series I am kind of tired of Ezio.

I wished they moved on to the next character quicker. I would love to see an Assassins Creed in the Far East.

I think Ezio has gotten better by each game, he was sort of bland in his first, but Brotherhood he was better. And he does look mighty grizzled and kickass in the Revelations trailer.

But I agree. I heard in AC III they're going for a new main character, and I'd love to see something set further east. Or earlier in time, for that matter.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Ezios character, it's just that from the first title to the second, you have this expectancy you'll be seeing so much world culture and history. But they've been stuck in the same sort of era for the past few titles if you get what I mean?

Time to move on I think! Hehe yeah anywhere but that time and age.
