very nice, I really love your use of color, for some reason my brain never thinks to use such bright colors in skin tones, like the oranges & yellows displayed here, Well Done!

Very cool! The facial anatomy is great... and the turning color is captured well... especially with the yellow.
I like the good sense of light too!

Thank you!
Can you explain to me what is a turning colour?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

sinnerinchrist In reply to simone4390 [2012-05-28 14:39:14 +0000 UTC]

Sure! Turning color is a term that is sometimes used to refer to the color that is found between the light and dark areas, as the form 'turns' away from the light.
Often the color is slightly different and it can be here that the most saturated color is found (as it is with yours, the white-washed areas are the most in the light, the yellow and rose-brown represent the turning point and is the most saturated. And then they turn to the gray.)
Hope it makes sense!

I think I understand it, but not completely yet.
Turning colours are midtones. You say that often the colour is slightly different. Different from what?

sinnerinchrist In reply to simone4390 [2012-05-30 00:59:19 +0000 UTC]

Ah! Sorry I'm so unclear! haha
It is the midtone, and it tends to be slightly different than the hue of the rest of the skin.
