Description Page 4 of Alicea And Wonderland:

Following the huge Cheshire cat seemed an impossible task; he ran like lightening and never once looked back.
Alicea felt somewhat perplexed by what he had said, but felt in no mood to run after him. As he became just a pink-purple smear on the distant cliff-road horizon, Alicea noticed the ground was pounding, as though earthquakes were happening repeatedly somewhere nearby.
Instinctively she knelt down by a large boulder;
the road had walls at either side but she did not feel safe with the ground rythmically drumming beneath her feet.
Risking a look over the low wall, she espied the largest human being she had ever seen.
Standing at over a hundred and fifty feet tall, The Giantess Bertha deserves some note in the annals of Wonderland history herself. Having been long forgotten by the denizens of the land in Alice's era, Bertha had been living in caves deep underground. The wars that had happened over the territories, however, had been massive and heavily destructive.
Too loud for Bertha, in any event, who came round from a hundred year nap to the equivalent of the neighbours playing dubstep at full tilt first thing in the morning. she left a large crater with the vertical thrusting way in which she ended the fracas, and then wandered away, leaving both sides ruined and wondering what just happened.
However.
Bertha was at this point in time watching a small-looking dragon flying in huge circles down toward her. As it came closer it grew and grew, until it hit the road 500 feet behind Alicea.
The giantess drew level with him and rumbled in some unkown language.
Her utterances were guttural but massively powerful, and to anyone stood nearby would have their ears left ringing for quite some time.
Watching avidly, Alicea noted the rider of the ragon, a man wearing a black cloak and cowel, was holding a brightly glowing gem in his fist, and holding it up as though to ward the behemoth off.
They spoke for only a few moments, and then the dragon lunged into the air in a gravity-defying spiral, as though it had corkscrewed itself powerfully enough to spring it into the air... and then with one flap of its wings it was a quickly diminishing dot in the sky.
Suddenly Bertha made a monstrous sound, half-roar and half anguished scream, and fled at top speed.
The road, now being shaken beyond anything it was built to withstand, made a sudden crunching noise, and Alicea felt the whole section of road she was on begin to shift position slowly but surely, threatening to drop her sideways a hundred feet onto the woody countryside below.

glad you like my work!!
i welcome constructive criticism,
i rant at people that just criticise me.
this is what makes my life bearable. i want to always better myself but cant stand people putting me down.
be gentle, thats all i ask

alright, i think the anatomy and perspective leave some to be desired, but that the concept itself is very captivating and the details are impressive.

she was supposed to look frumpy and homely, like an old grandma type but with attitude
thanks and hope i can achieve the perspective over time (one of my few remaining hang-ups about my art is perspective and facial tension-emotion, etc)
thanks for your wise words

yeah i guess i should just get some faces off google or something lol
my problem is that i dont enjoy copying from life anywhere near as much as i do with using my imagination. i find it very difficult to draw what is in front of me, but i can draw thirty foot dragons with ease :S

neither do i, but i do it for practice constantly. drawing/painting is less a passion for me and more a craft.

i hate giving things labels, so the difference between surrealism and cartoons to me is a moot point, i feel everything should be judged equally, on the value it gives in itself. to me it will always be a passion.
i think i am the lucky one for this

Burn the Land, Boil the Sea...
You can't take the sky from me..
(the theme song for a show called "Firefly". It's a space western... In the very best sense of the word.)

..firefly... american tv is so much more interesting than brit tv...
but its all still just propaganda, even the kids tv stuff is just advertising these days....
i heard of an old american show called "manimal" or something, about a fugitive good guy that can turn into a snake or something XD
over here we just get sh*t like pop idol and big brother.

have you watched it?
If not, all I can tell you is that it is about honour, giving, taking, protecting, and supporting one's own.
If you can find them, watch the firefly tv series. there is only one season. The movie is called Serenity, and it is sooo worth it.

i remember the serenity film...directed by joss wheadon, wasnt it? im losing memory of films and tv now...its been over three years since i had a tv in my home. if they are somewhere online im sure i will come across it at some point; now if i do i will remember and give it a watch
we just got star trek next generation and voyager and those things when i was growing up, much more militaristic and overacted ill bet

hell yes. as fun as star trek was, it was a socialist utopia that is impossible for humans to ever accomplish on such a grand scale.
We are too steeped in greed and self indulgence.

Joss Wheadon did such a fantastic job of meshing such real personalitied into Firefly that you could not help but to form an attachment to all of the characters... just because of how realistic they were, and true to their characters.

You are most welcome kind sir. Your own encouragements have never gone amiss and is always appreciated. When an artist displays something this remarkable it should be praised with a myriad of comments (my favorite word of the day being myriad, don't know what it'll be tomorrow) We'll find you the right groups and the recognition you deserve my friend. For the seeker, look at my groups, there's two Harry Potter groups that'll reap it up. Also try the whimsy for this one and several of the fantasy and alice in wonderland groups.

Any time Simon. Give a shout if you need any help
