Description I

I held
the key to happiness
but turned it the wrong way.

I carried
the means to an end
and dropped it.

I threw
a party for all my friends
out of the window

I stared
love in the eye
and blinked

I shook
fortune by the hand
and didn’t recognise her.

I fell
in love
and out of favour

I sat
on the right hand
and didn’t recognise him

I forged
a partnership with fate
and lost.

I smile
and am happy
I broke the rule

Hmmm.....this one makes me think. Seems like a series of misfortunes and yet happy at the end?

Even though I know this is part of a series of poems, it seems like it could benefit from a title that gives us either more insight into the poem itself, or is a tease at your meaning. (but that would take it out of your series title-wise anyway!)
