An MLP fan art of Rarity and Fancy Pants.Some time ago I suddenly realized that Fancy Pants represented everything Rarity tried to find in Blueblood: "Prince Charming" who was "gallant" and "treated" her "like a lady"... indeed, he looks like Rarity's perfect stallion! I personally like this couple, so I made this picture of them, spending time on a yacht, like in the song from "Sweet and Elite"
Just in case I'd like to answer on the main objections against this pairing:
1)"Fancy Pants is married" - it is not confirmed in the show that he is married and his relationship with Fleur Dis Lee is unclear. Although he is often seen with her, Fancy spends much time alone as well (he didn't take his wife to Wonderbolt Derby and garden party in Canterlot Palace?)
2)"Fancy Pants is too old" - I'm sure that he is older than Rarity, but it doesn't mean that he is too old for her. I personally don't think that their age difference is insuperable. Especially if you compare it to the shippings of ponies with Celestia, Luna or Discord...

Also, do you remember the final scenes in A Canterlot wedding? Not only did rarity catch the bouquet but she was seen dancing with Fancy pants, they were glancing at each other too

Seriously this is really cute and perfect. Β And I'm a Sparity fan, so I apologize in advance if you feel that my opinion is that is all out of sorts to you.
It makes one think that there are things running in the background when it shows up all of a sudden--like you showing that Fancy does exhibit all of the Β traits that Rarity has looked for a special somepony since Celestia knows when.
And all of the other pairing you imply are well done also, because they do fit or make sense, they are not just pairing the spares, honestly.
It makes me have a little tear for Spike though...Sometimes I wish that they would just go ahead and have some dragon come up to take him away from Ponyville--eventually removing the character from the series--or introduce a character that is completementary for him (and I don't see the CMCs, they are already friends with each other, I don't think Spike would work with them) so that at least it would kill the Sparity spec.

Great picture love Fancy Pants and Rarity together.Β I know that we will never really know the ponies real ages, but I am taking a guess. I say Rarity is in her early twenties and Fancy is about in his thirties. Do you agree?
