**PLEASE READ THROUGH TO THE END**

I went over this in my head, dozens and dozens of times, nervous to upload my actual species to DA (I got my start on another website, a smaller one)

But I said to hell with it, a couple nights ago. Here is my OC Hiiro, he's one of my Closed Species, called the Xanos.

There are 23 Xanos references that I have done, although, pretty much all of them are outdated. Most were done back in December 2016.

Here are Hiiro's old references, I added dates to the pictures, so you know when they were done:

Anywho, onto some information on Hiiro, for people who are new to me and my species

Name: Hiiro
Gender/Sex: Male
Species: Xanos (A Closed Species - Pronounced: Zaw-no-ss or Zah-no-ss)
Variant: Fire
Age: Unknown (thought to be over 1,000 years)
Creation Date: June 16th, 2016

Xanos are shapeshifters, they all posses a humanoid form (I'll update that later), it's why they have a human-like build to their Xanos form (also referred to as their "True Form"). It makes shapeshifting easier if your anatomy has some similarities to your humanoid one. Now no Xanos in their humanoid form has wings, but some do occasionally have horns, though they're far and few inbetween.

Most Male Xanos have dewlap, when Hiiro goes to breath fire, this stretches out (slightly) and lights up first.

Only Male Xanos have the "breast plates" on their chest, as they are often the ones to engage in physical combat. A female stands no chance fighting a male. But that doesn't mean she's weak, most females are slender and more agile than males. But most aren't stupid enough to fight a male or get in close combat with one.

The plates on the males chest are solid muscle, they're only here and not bunched everywhere on the Xanos's underbelly, because it protects the most vital organ of a Xanos, their heart.

The underbelly of a Xanos is smooth, but tough, skin. Tough as in, regular blades won't penetrate it, another Xanos could rake his or her claws down another's belly and it wouldn't tear through, unless it was a few select Xanos who have claws sharp enough to do it in one slice. It would take a regular Xanos about 2-3 hard slashes to split open another.
