... So... it took me a long while to decide to put this one up.First things first: Yes. This is me, sitting in front of my laptop. Dressed up as Dell Honne, whose character item -is- a laptop. It's actually quite fitting.
Second thing that comes to mind: ... no. It's not awfully "Dell-like" except for the fact that if you're a workaholic at the end of the day, pulling off the tie seem like a good thing to do.
Third thing that came to mind... since this -is- a picture taken with my laptop, the resolution isn't all that great. So I apologise ahead of time. The picture was also tweaked a little so I would have the albino red eyes. Other than that... you're getting it pretty much straight from the computer.
... Tell me what you think, yes?
P.S.: I know the resolution is awful... but a bonus goes towards the person who can spot the ring on my finger!

... I've always liked that character. Like what I said in the text, he and I understand each other - except for the chain-smoking bit.
... It's turned into a thing, though.
... SP (Sinistrose Phosphate) is the beatnik at night after work, and he's the one with the white hair and red eyes. DP (Dextrose Phosphate) is the busybody at work during the day, and he's the Asian dude with the dark hair and eyes. The white hair has become a way to denote our "night and day" persona. And in a way, I think it's hilarious and cool. Hopefully you'll think so, too.

Yeah! Your concept on the whole night and day idea is actually very clever! It's good to know you have a character you can relate to. Zatsune and myself are more different than similar, so when I cosplay her, it's all acting.~

I think cosplay has something to do with - not just with how much you look like the character - but also how much you identify with the character. That's why as much as I love a lot of characters, I don't have an extensive cosplay list (I also don't have time, but that's a different story.) My idea is the concept of bad math: "2+2=5" The costume doesn't have to be perfect, the attitude should be as close as you can get to it - but when you put the two together: Magic happens.
Dell and I don't quite have "magic" yet. But we're getting there.
Now, if I can only remember to do more towards that, it'd be great. His birthday is coming up...

The female costumes in Sandplay are really something to look at - there are a lot of design elements to make the series look distinctive and cool. And hey... we need more of it!

Fancy meeting you again at this time of the year. How have you been?
As for this photo... well, what can I say? The camera angle can be awful deceiving at times. The last time it was entirely too generous on me but this time it's quite a bit better (in my opinion, at least.) Do I cosplay? Yes, but rarely. I don't have a lot of time to put into cosplay right now and since I've moved to a new city the cosplay scene there is almost non-existent. It's unfortunate, really.

Yes, indeed. I actually remember most people who have taken the time to leave me a message, especially from someone who told me "I've read almost all the comments below." That's definitely something special.
I haven't changed my avatar at all (with the exception of "Spirit day" for one day). In a way, I think I am too lazy to change the avatar. But I also think that it's a "logo" of me that people can easily recognise. It won't serve its purpose if I change it all the time, right? (Besides... I love the movie where the avatar came from...
I certainly did use the camera on my laptop (that's why the resolution is low.) The only thing I did to the original photo is to colour my eyes red (to suit the character). Otherwise, you are getting a raw picture from the camera. It's not the best, I have to admit... but at least it's a passable photo.
I now live in Newfoundland, Canada. The province is small in population and big in land mass. We don't have a lot of Asians in the province (really, less than 2000 in total population), so we don't really have a big anime/manga/cosplay environment here. The closest convention to us is in the neighbouring province, which require an one-hour flight. And because the overall population is small, everyone knows everyone. It's not very wise to dress up in outrageous fashions in public because you never know who might see you - and if you will meet that person again in the workplace in the future. That's why the cosplay community is non-existent here.
My Christmas has been very well. My father threw a party for our family friends and we had over 50 people in attendance on Christmas eve. The only drawback is I start working tomorrow and will work through New Year's eve and New Year's Day. But... well, at least Christmas has been good, right?

Darn it, I knew he wore that ring in Lareine but she beat me to it! I almost bought a ring almost identical to it on Ebay once and then that's when I noticed Kamijo was wearing the same one in that CURE Magazine photoshoot!

There was a Lareine single where a ring that looks just like it was put in the deluxe package as a special gift. For the life of me, I don't remember the single. But my guess is that ring on eBay may have come from that single. And you're right... he wore it again in the CURE magazine photoshoot!

I am starting to think that the low resolution made me look better than I actually am. I've been staring at this photo for a few days now and the only thing I could think of was: "... Damn, when do I ever look like this in real life? I look like someone sprung up from a manga page!" (I think the second thought that came to mind was: "... if I wasn't Dell and I was Gakupo instead... that'd be a dangerous type of look. It wouldn't so much be "taking a load off" but more of a "come on" instead. And the last thing I need are cyber stalkers!"

But you also highlighted a point - I don't usually put photos of myself here because I was afraid that people will tell me that I look really different from what they had in mind. I mean... take a look at this photo, which part of it does it say "Doctor" to you...? And just to make it really clear... yes. This -is- a wig.

I would say so, yes. The ability to look evil is hard to come by, I think. So the fact that you say I actually managed to look evil is a pretty significant thing. (Some of the nurses believe I don't have a mean bone in my body...
Speaking of controlling time and space... A friend of mine had seen some old photographs of me when I was in high school. She's convinced that I haven't changed all that much since then (and that's more than 10 years ago). So... the lady now believes that I am an amnesiac vampire who doesn't age (amnesiac, because I don't remember how old I really am). She's also convinced that my baby photos were photos implanted by others to protect me and themselves... and they are photos taken of a random Japanese baby...
That's exactly what I am talking about: when I am off work I don't look much like a doctor at all. So for everyone who keeps on hearing what DP does for a living... wouldn't they be surprised when they see SP!
