Amazing effort, man. I would've fallen in love with this map when I was still doing a lot of roleplaying games years ago.

That is staggering. How long did this take? Did you do multiple revisions, or just go with the flow?

Adorable!
Your maps are always so crisp and clean, and your colours and fonts so tasteful. Well done, once again!

The crops/fields were new to this map. I was trying a new technique with Menzheim.
It seems to work well here.
I tried it in another map [Haerlech] and it didn't work quite as well there though.
It might have been a factor of the 'drawing' style I used.
That Haerlech city map is taking me forever to complete. It's not a commission so I can only work on it in my spare time.
It's over on the Guild site - www.cartographersguild.com/sho…
I had to do a different style of fields after realizing this style wasn't working there.

Oh man, I'm almost embarrassed to say... I think I started that map for the February challenge and wasn't able to complete it in time.
Then I started a new WIP thread to try to complete it. I've work on and off since then - no real solid amounts of time though.
I'd estimate that I've probably put in at least 2 months if not more.
I am just hoping I can finish before the year ends. That's sad. I never would have thought it would take so long.

You shouldn't have farmland so close to the wall. There should be at least 50 m clear area in order for bowmen to have clear shot. Plus there should be at least a ditch if not a mote there.

I created this map based on the clients specs so some things may not be as you would imagine them.

I'm just saying how medieval fortified cities really were. The map looks great don't get me wrong.
