This all started on Alderaan, at the Academy of Sciences, during a lecture course on agriculture, of all things, it was in that lecture hall that two young women bonded over their ideals, to anyone observing them they must have seemed like ordinary students talking about nothing of any real importance, hell even they themselves couldn't have known the significance of their meeting... Isabelle Devon, heiress to house Devon, was a young idealist seeking to help those less well-off than her, and Alanah Chase, who's family founded Chase Agriculture, was set to inherit the family business, though much to her displeasure, as she wanted to be a pilot. These two women founded the organization that would eventually become Goldsaber, in a sense Starchaser is just as much a part of their legacy as it is my own... Quinn Shara's memoirs, on the beginning, the foundation in which Goldsaber was built.

Star Wars OC AU stuff!! These two characters are Alanah Chase and Isabelle Devon, who are essentially the founders of Goldsaber!

What would later become a significant force in the wider galaxy started out with a simple meeting between two freshmen students, at a lecture course on agriculture. Isabelle was born into wealth, her family stood at the top level of society, rubbing shoulders with the likes of the Organas, it was an odd sight to see someone of her social standing attending an agricultural course, however she was attending in order to gain the knowledge to help teach displaced refugees how to form self-sufficient colonies, so that they didn't have to rely too heavily on the generosity of strangers just to survive, Isabelle wished to put her family's wealth and connections to use aiding those in desperate need. Alanah on the other hand was not so eager to take the course, her family owned Chase Agriculture, a leading name in agriculture on Alderaan, and it was her father's desire that she inherit the business, Alanah however had no desire to do so, as she dreamed of being a pilot, during her early teen years she'd often take joyrides in their crop dusters however during her studies she was forbidden from flying...

Isabelle and Alanah met during their first lecture, Alanah one of the later students to arrive, largely due to her nervousness she'd put off leaving until the last minute, of the few remaining seats in the lecture hall she settled for the nearest, seated besides her was Isabelle, from whom's attire Alanah could tell she was obviously a noble, which intimidated her as she worried that Isabelle would be snobby, indignant, and judgmental... Much to her surprise however Isabelle turned and greeted her with a friendly smile, herself slightly nervous, knowing the stereotypes people have about nobles. After introducing themselves they got to talking, Isabelle leading the conversations as Alanah was still nervous, the topic eventually came to why they were attending their specific courses and Alanah took a shine to Isabelle's idealism, the two talked throughout the lecture (perhaps once or twice forgetting they were even IN a lecture and earning a light warning from the lecturer... XD), discussing their ideals, their hopes and dreams, they became fast friends, Isabelle happy to have someone to relate to on an ideological level, and finding great joy in having a genuine friend, and Alanah inspired by Isabelle's ideals, and also relieved to have found a friend herself.

The two continued to attend their classes together (Alanah far more eager now), over the course of their time at the Academy they'd become best friends, and upon graduation Isabelle had a proposal for Alanah: she was going to go through with her plans to form an aid organization, and wanted her best friend at her side, truth be told had it not been for Alanah's support, having someone to share her ideal with, Isabelle might not have had the courage to take such a big step, instead going into safer avenues such as fundraising events and charity galas, all still noble causes, but having the support of her friend Isabelle wanted to help directly, and Alanah accepted wholeheartedly. "Don't worry Izzy, I'll always have your back!" With funding from Senator Organa, Isabelle was able to found her organization, with the goal of providing relief to those in desperate need, and Alanah joined her as her escort fighter using her old joyride, gifted to her by her father after graduation, after he accepted her choice not to inherit Chase Agriculture, proud that she'd actually found the courage to follow her own path.

Alanah almost exclusively refers to Isabelle as Izzy (some of her crew do too, but not exclusively like Alanah), only calling her by Isabelle during their initial meeting, or when something very serious is going down...
Isabelle on the other hand is really the only person who refers to Alanah by her first name, pretty much everyone else calls her Chase, she much prefers Chase from everyone else, but Isabelle is her best friend, and thus the exception.

Phew, yet again I worried that I'd have nothing for the description but thankfully... eheh, that's A LOT of nothing, huh! XD But yeah, this was fun to draw, I really love Chase, she's a very fun character to draw, I love her skin tone, her freckles, and her hairstyle, I like how her outfit turned out also, I knocked it together on the fly but I think it suits her. I really like how Isabelle's hair turned out, I played around with the style to try to give her a more noble look, she's also wearing a dress inspired by Leia's dress in A New Hope, here she's just asked Chase to help her, and is amused by her enthusiastic reply! I imagine Chase's enthusiasm comes from relief, after graduation she was probably worried that they might take different paths, and she'd grow distant from her friend, so she's overjoyed that Isabelle is offering her a job essentially. XD The background is Alderaan, the sun has just set and the stars are out, the moon is also full, hanging low in the sky, and a CR90 corvette is flying across the sky.

This was lot's of fun to draw, as ever I really hope ya'll like it, feedback is also greatly appreciated!
