Page sixty-six of my Star Wars OC AU fan comic thing.

As his Raider commences it's attack, Colonel Ral, aware of his Lieutenant's misgivings, shares the story of Admiral Degwin Hav'll, a hero of the Clone Wars and an icon to the people of Di'alga, famous for his defence of Da'hren, using J'hen for cover his fleet sent countless Separatist ships crashing down to Da'hren, and continued to hold the line until the final day, when only his Venator remained, Di'algans are a tenacious people, and their loyalty and nationalism borders on fanaticism...

Phew, another page, and this time a little backstory, and an introduction to an important figure to the Di'alga sector, and it's Overseer's most trusted confidant, it's Admiral, Degwin Hav'll, a man respected and feared in equal measure due to his reputation as a fearless and tenacious leader, thousands of Separatist ships litter the surface of Da'hren, all thanks to the Admiral's stalwart defence, utilising J'hen's clouds, and their interference, he was practically invisible to his Droid opponents, emerging out of the clouds to ambush his enemies, eventually his army was whittled down, however he managed to remain until the deactivation of the Separatist's Droid Army, however what could have compelled such a dedicated defence of a desolate dust-ball like Da'hren...? Loyalty to his system, or perhaps something else...?

Edit: Damn it, I mis-spelled Separatist in the comic...

Heheh, we're fast approaching this comic's end, hope ya'll are excited, anyway as always feedback is greatly appreciated!

He's too cocky imo, emulating some Admiral is not the same as actually being him. Although his approach seems to have a high success rate, it is rash and depends on the reactions of the opposition rather than their own skill.

damn son. I just imagine that whole monologue overlayed with shots of the ship moving in to ram the rebels. At first I thought the dude was sort of a joke but I'm actually really starting to like him .

Heheh, I'm glad to hear he's having the desired effect! In a sense his Lieutenant is something of a stand-in for the readers. XD

Also by the way there's this really cool comic that I think you might like, it's called Blood in the Gutters and it's all about how comics use negative space I think you might really enjoy it, cause it's really super informative and it's actually an awesome tutorial. canvas.umw.edu/courses/930511/…

you're welcome, it's really cool cause it goes into the different ways American comics are made vs how the Japanese do it including stylistic choices and it really lays out graphic novels and comics as an artistic medium.

Heheheh, I'm glad to finally drop some info (and a drawing) on Di'alga's Admiral, he's been a character I've wanted to show for ages now, though he's not the only one, there are a few characters that I've had in my head for months now, but I didn't want to spoil anything... XD
