EDIT: Uploaded a better quality scan.Finished it! Fullview please, there's quite a lot of detail (which is unusual for me.
)I read a fanfiction a while ago about Daine and Numair from Tamora Pierce's "Immortals" series- the fic described different ways their friends found out they were more than just friends.
This was the sweetest one, and I had to illustrate it! It was pointed out to me when I uploaded the WIP that Numair is too short- sorry!

I like the background a lot, I'm too lazy to ever really do them myself. Also Numair is the best.

He is, isn't he? ^_^ I'm getting better at backgrounds, although they do tend to take me ages. X( They're only fun to draw if there's interesting stuff in them, so putting shields in was a good plan.

Yeah the shields are one of my favorite parts for this piece. Did you have a hard time coming up with the designs for them or did you use existing ones? Either way they look really good, they just fit with the series well.

A mixture of both.
The lioness and the horse shields are Alanna's and the Riders' respectively, the sword and crown shield is the "Tortall" one, and the key is (I think!

-- I should say that the shields aren't completely random, in the fic I mentioned that this is based on, everyone would have been there. It was set at a celebration ball that was thrown by Jon at the end of the Immortal's War. Naturally Daine and Numair were guests of honour.
