Description
1. Go in the forest a little ways and find a toppled tree in a shaded area.2. Wait until the sun enters the Golden Hour.
3. Let bits and pieces of the golden hour sun fall break though the edge of the forest onto the exposed roots of the toppled tree.
4. Use an ΓΌbersaturating film like Fuji Velvia
5. Drool at all of the different colors that show up.
I honestly did not expect results this dramatic.

i am not surprised it took only 5 minutes for that picture to become top five .. that is an amazing shot .. i love the colors that are reflected on the roots ... i would love to live in a place like that .. where you can just go for a walk in the forest and be one with nature .. hehe .. i know its kinda corny but its true ... here in the philippines all you see is metal, city, smoke, pollution ... nothing like that .. but i guess you have to look for such things they do not just appear ... great picture ..

I don't know why I never commented on this before, I saw it back when it was first submitted... There are some photos that really stick in my head, and this is one of them. I just love the way the colors came out mixed with the sunlight.

Hrm first off when I saw the thumbnail I thought, this looks very interesting, and has nice colors... then when I clicked on it I could see a lizard and snake.... When i chose full view, it came back into its real perspective . went back a page .... I again saw a chameleon like lizard and snake..
