Another one of my night time landscape photos. This one under the full moon of September 2001. Exposure roughly 20 minutes on Fuji Provia 100F.Composition is pretty much typical for this subject matter, but there isn't too much one can do on top of rock jutting out of the Lake Superior waters in the middle of the night. I dig the yellow cast given off my the city likes of Duluth and Superior, as well as the water texture that is acheived with exposures of this length. My damn Pontiac managed to make its way into the scene to. I usualy hate having automobiles in my works, but I like the way this one sneaked in.

wow! really good!!! i have never heard of night time photos like this with that insane amount of exposure time! unreal... but you know what... i dont mind the car in there... at first it looks to be in conflict with the setting of the photo but i think it adds some realism i dunno?? +fav!

I actually didn't see the auto at first... or I did and I didn't care.... now it bugs me. I guess that's one of those things that's better left unsaid by the artist but, no worries. This is still and amazing long exposure shot. The blur and movement of the water makes it look misty and wonderful. The sky looks like daylight! UGG- I wish I could do long exposures like this- I'll have to practice heavily. Great work!

dont see what everyone is wow about, but it's an ok shot. I can see a car on the right side by the trees..thats about all the made out details I can get.
oh well congrats on the DD, but i dont think this deserved it.

amazing photograph, i wish i had the patience and skill to take one like this.
the car on top is small, i don't think it detracts from the image, i like it.
great skill on the technical side, wonderful imagery too.

This is so sweet, I love the Great Lakes I stayed a week on some islands on lake Huron. My grandparents live on Lake Michigan. Great Colors and all around good shot
