Now here I had no problem identifying the gender.

The smoother body and shapes (contrary to the bulky shapes of a male character) did the job!

I really love her demure pose and the soft lighting adds a really nice atmosphere to the drawing. Though, even when looking at the picture up close I still can't tell what kind of animal she is (I'm guessing a skink or a snake).

Tawny is amazing! It gives an old-timey feel with the neutral colors, and the anatomy and folds of the clothes appear so natural! I can just imagine myself walking in and having a drink right now.
