Oh my gosh its DONE. e.e

The 'tipsy Russell scene' Moshy wrote in our latest collab 'Conversions.'
In which there's a couple family reunions, friend mingling, and jail time...

I never spend this long on random pieces. But 20-ish hours total? Looking at it now, totally worth it. (watch me wake up in the morning, frown and say I hate it…)

Aside from some major perspective issues //that I’m going to ignore right now// I really like how everything came out, especially those bottles on the shelves since they started out as one giant bottle-blob and I color-carved out each bottle from it.

Russell is my favorite part I think. He was a hoot to draw. Jez was fun too but goofy, drunk Russell singing the wrong lyrics to the wrong song in a saloon was just too lovely to pass over.

“Russel stop!”
“What?” He grunted, nearly stumbling off his chair.
“How many drinks have you had.”
“Nah enuff after a ride leek that.”
Jez covered her mouth to hide a smile form the lazy look in Russel’s eyes. He’d had one to many, well. Many too many to drink, and could hardly stay on his barstool.
“Have you ever noticed how shiny these glasses are?” His head was on the bar, his nose right up to his glass, half full of whiskey. “I mean, it jus… just glistens like a glistening glistener.”
“That’s great Russel.” Jez murmured, taking another sip of her own drink, “Why don’t you give that to me?”
“Wha?” He lifted his head a tiny bit off the bar table.
“The drink Russel, you’ve had enough.”
“No.” He hugged the glass close to him. “Is cold leek liqkid gold. Soooo sootheing in my tired head.” As he said that Jez tried to take it from him and he spun away from her, stumbling off the barstool and tripping over himself over to a post that reached up to the rafters. He ran into it for support, still holding the glass, but the contents had spilled all over the floor. The people supplying the background music, picked up the pace slightly for this part of the song.
“Hey!” Russel spun and pointed at Jez. “I know dis song..”
“Do you now…” Jez eyed the glass in his hands, at least it was empty, but she didn’t want him to break it.
“Ohhhhhh da sun is blue in da niiighht. Anddd… blahh, blah mmmhmmafdadf.” He started humming and running the words together where he couldn’t figure them out. Anything that was coherent didn’t actually match up with the real music.
“Okay, time for bed.” Jez jumped down from her stool, spilled some coins onto the table for pay and caught Russell before he fell onto the floor. His shirt was stained with whisky in some spots.
“Woah, the floor comes fast.”
“Yeah, let’s get you to the inn.”
“Does it sleep now?”
“You should be.” Jez wrinkled her nose from the overpower smell of alcohol on his breath.
“Woah. Did ya see how beautiful your eyes shine with deese things hanging on your face.” He pulled on one of her curls, smiling dumbly when it sprung back into place. But she just swatted his hand away.
“Ohh, I’m going to enjoy this tomorrow.” Jez smirked and led him out of the Saloon.
