Also, I have an advice for you about drawing darker settings: you might use less bright colours to make it look more convincing. I don't know if program you're using has that option, but some allow you to tone down brightness and contrasts in the selected layer.

I’ll be honest, I don’t know much about brightness and contrast settings. I use illustrator, but I don’t know all the tips and tricks about how it works... I basically use it as a enhanced Microsoft paint. But you have a point, it is a bit bright.
Havent drawn Mobotropolis at night too often. Whoops.

Hmm you might start by looking how proffesional and more experiemced artists handle this sort of things and trying it for yourself from time to time.
