Description

Sicklewings are small, coastal dwelling dragons (about the size of a chicken). Their prominently shaped wings help them to navigate even through rough weather, and they are widely known as one of the most acrobatic flyers among small dragons. They also reach impressive speeds

while diving for fish. They have never been spotted to go after fish bigger than their snout, most probably out of fear of getting dragged down/not being able to take off again. This means they have to hunt multiple times a day, and they travel in big swarms to open sea While they are powefull flyers, they have very fragile and small bones that shatter easily. while they can take some abuse by the elements, an outright storm spells desaster for them, and it is sadly a common occurance to find their bodies washed up on the beach after a big storm if they where unfortunate enough to be caught up in it. usually though they are incredibly good at predictig the weather so to say. so much so that sailors often rely on studiying their behavior to determine if its safe to go to sea or when to turn around. they are smart and can form bonds with their caretakers. Their shrill voice takes some getting used to though

The Red Flare Sicklewing has been found on the beach, obviously too exhausted and dehydrated to take flight. It was soon discovered that it was a yound adult who, possibly, got carried away by strong winds from its home isle and, disoriented, flew across a considerable portion of ocean before luckily landing on the shore. after some tending to them they are back on their feet, allthough they do have a small wing injury that prevents them from flying as well as they are supposed to in the wild, which is why we are trying to rehome them. They still need regular excercise and a lot of toys/entertainment to be kept happy. The Red Flare is considered the most common Morph of this species.

The cold Feet Sicklewing has been bred and raised and captivity by a trusted breeder of this species. This little critter is sozialized and ready to be picked up by an experienced keeper, as they still need a lt of care and attention.

This cutie is especially affectionate and curious, but also quite talkactive. This Color morph is actually a morph that can be found in the wild, however usually much less vibrant in color.

The Animals of course are only kept in the showrooms for a very limited time, before brought back to their bigger, more suited enclosures. this is purely to showcase them easier
