Our giant shepard likes to be at the foot of the bed between us. The annoying part of this is if he didn't start the night there. He'll come in at 2:00 am, and stand at the foot of the bed in the dark. If there is no response, he'll make one loud, sharp bark. Thankfully, I'm kinda keyed into him walking in, so I usually wake up when he comes in before he barks.
