Description Acrylic on canvas + photoshop.

I've always hated the way the clouds turned out in the painting of the diving pegasus. Since I'm now re-doing my portfolio, I thought this would be a good time to fix that little problem. The image is a peculiar shape and has odd compositional gaps because it is intended to be the cover art for a paperback book.

This was also a good chance to try my hand at having a border in my art. I've always loved the look of borders, but I can't for the life of me actually paint one. Straight lines and I do not get along. Photoshop fixed that little problem for me.

pretty, wouldn't the wing be attached to shoulder though,...Oh well, still FANTASTIC. I think the clouds look alright.

Wow; now that's a really nice image... I can imagine being drawn to a book that sported that cover. Everything looks perfect; I can't draw to save my life, but I feel that horses/pegasi are particularly hard to draw and get right. The wings look great, in particular, and the border is a nice touch. Definitely a for me .

Love the changing colors on the Pegasus' fur and the visible tensio of it's muscles.
