Ooh, I guess my lunch left a mark on the paper after all. Oops.

Characters Lucian and James are mine.

"We'll head home as soon as the rain lets up. Come here, Luce..."
"Lucian," He corrects automatically, leaning against James. The older teen pulls him close to his chest, wrapping an arm around the skinny boy and rubbing small circles between his shoulders. Lucian relaxed into his grip, clinging onto James' weathered, dark blue coat.

"Do you hate it?" Lucian suddenly asks, his voice slightly muffled by James' arm. James blinks in surprise. "What?
"How childish I am around you. Do you hate that about me?"
For a moment, James is silent, and he can feel how tense Lucian's small form is. He sighs, finally.
"I don't know how to describe it, Lucian. I'm always afraid you'll get yourself hurt, but it's part of you...it makes you completely different from Luce...maybe that's the part of you that I really like?"
Lucian doesn't smile, but pushes closer to James and closes his eyes.
"Thanks." He mutters. His grip on his coat tightens. "For coming to find me..."
