2nd December...it's Osijek's birthday again!
Last year for his birthday present I drew but this year I don't have much time because I'm drawing a half dozen pieces for this artbook (www.facebook.com/TerraFirmaPro… ). At first I wanted to skip drawing his present but because eventually I will have to draw him for the artbook then I was like 'well, at least a chibi served as a practice?'. I'm supposed to draw Osijek in Slavonian folk costume along with Bizovac (the girl on the right) and as you can see...the details on Bizovac's folk costume is totally frightening I seriously don't think I can draw it successfully in a first try.
As for the title...ok, Croatian geography lesson time! Osijek-Baranja is a county in Croatia, situated in the easternmost part of Croatia bordering both Hungary and Serbia. As the name indicated, the seat of this county is Osijek - meaning today is 'the Boss' birthday, mwahahaha.
In this pic, they are all characters that based from towns in Osijek-Baranja county. From left to right; Antica(Đakovo), Hrvoje(Osijek) and Zdenka(Bizovac) - all wearing folk costumes from their own town. I'd have included characters from Baranja side (Darda and Beli Manastir) but I've not finished designing them yet plus...not enough time. //cries in the corner
..........So we will just pretend that those two are also attending Osijek's birthday party but not in the scene.
It's quite difficult to notice but those candles are '818' - that's how old Osijek is today.

Yep, I did. It was a pure chance that I discovered about Bizovac when I searched for information about tourist attractions around Osijek. (that assignment when Osijek told the tourist he would send him to towns on the Adriatic coast if he didn't stop talking about beach XD)
