Naw, that's actually the equipment he uses in-game almost all the time ... I wasn't pushing the vampire theme just for this illustration.

My favorite light armor. When the sun comes up I like donning the "apprentice hood" because it's the darkest mage's hood. It blends quite well.
He sports it well, and you've portrayed him well at that. Ever the eye for detail.

Ah, so that's the Cevenor you've been drawing! I was looking forward to finally seeing him.
He looks so awesome in Vampire armour... And intimidating too...
Though I have to wonder, having followed Cevenor's story, if he ever had any misgivings about becoming a vampire, and if he, well, feeds on anyone?

Well, in-game he does feed on the thralls in the castle. He also uses 'Vampire's Seduction' to feed on villagers and other low-level characters he comes upon during his journeys.
When desperate, he has fed on his followers when they sleep (and a few times on his wife as well). In my head-canon most of his followers are unaware of this as they don't wake up when he feeds on them.
He had slight misgivings about becoming a vampire in the beginning but, due to his natural bloodlust as an assassin, he's taken to being a vampire rather well. He is addicted to the power that comes with it and has no plans to ever go back (for now at least).

(Off-Topic: it seems that I will have a lot of trouble joining Gangy's streams... For one thing, the website takes ages to load... And for another, I just saw the time of her next stream, and it's going to be about 5 a.m. for me.

I noticed that several people have thought Cevenor was an Altmer and not a Bosmer. I decided to compare him to some of your Thalmor characters and personally I think it's pretty obvious that they are not the same race.
Your Altmer have longer ears, their skin is more golden, and Cevenor is a comparable height to Cicero who is notoriously short.
It's those little details that help set the races apart and I feel you're really consistent with them. Just wanted to throw that out there.
Anyway, for this piece, I really love the details of the armor and blade. I have a personal pride in being able to identify on sight and you did a great job making the Vampire Lord armor and Daedric blade recognizable.
I love the obvious lighting and the shadows it creates. I am never one to remember such an important element. I enjoy how the light is centered on his face as he looks to the right and it trails into shadow as you look left.
The combination of light source and red into purple background really gives me a sense of twilight. It's the end of the day, the red sun is dipping behind the mountains, and with the last of the heat of the day fading away, it's time for creatures like Cevenor to come out and play.
I really like the pendant clasp. It drew my eye right away.But I think the most striking feature is Cevenor's eyes. I love the yellow on yellow combination you used. It's vibrant without being gaudy.

I'm happy both the blade and armor are recognizable. Those take awhile to draw/paint but I'm happy when it pays off.
I did enjoy playing with colors in this one. I love how you recognized how they fit with the 'vampire' theme (the end of the day).

your character looks great in color, now you can really appreciate more detail on the clothes and armor, the blade looks a bit old and rusty, but how else would it look being an ancestral weapon, great work as always syrena, he really looks ready to face whatever danger lies ahead, and now he has another family to fight for, along with the one from the black brotherhood

Nice! A regal and polished portrait of our hero fit to hand above the mantlepiece. I like how he is testing the blade. Very lovely colors as well. They really add a depth and dynamic to the piece. I especially love the purple undertones.
