Just as Curia became distracted, the fight between Gamora and Spiderwoman shifted, if not concluded. Gamora suddenly powered up, stopping Spiderwoman's punch in her fist as if catching a baseball in a glove. A look in her eye told Spiderwoman that she had been played. The spandex-clad heroines was caught in a vulnerable position. In a blur a knee slammed into her head. Again and again Gamora struck. For every punch she had received between the legs, she returned the favor with her knee strikes. The debt paid, she stopped, holding her leg up after the blow. Spiderwoman's eyes had rolled back. Her arms hung limp at her sides. She was all but defeated. Gamora shouted at her, "You're the fly. Now feel my sting!"
