Might I say that I absolutely despise MLP to the grave- however I thoroughly enjoy the unique way you went about creating these vectors. They're quite cute and I love the very traditional look you gave them. Like a painted paper cut-out. It's an awesome idea.

I'm curious... and I may sound stupid but what's with all this pony stuff on the internet?? I see it all the time and I tried watching the show but... I just don't get it...

Like Sleepwalks said is a good show (a really good show by today standards), but don't go in with high expectations. It also depends what episode you saw (1 and 2 are ironically the worst to star off)
But I just want to add that the show is pretty much a throwback to 90s animation, with lots of 70s-90s references, hidden adult humor, and made by the people behind shows like Power Puff Girls and Foster Home for Imaginary Friends.
I recommend to watch a few more episodes and see if it grows on you.

I've watched quite a few episodes and it's not a terrible show but it's clearly a children's show and I don't know why there are soooo many teens watching it that LOVE it so much. I don't know I don't see why its THIS popular..

Well me because I'm such a big nerd and get most of the references. The show is better than some of the crap in tv nowadays that relies so much in lowbrow humor and it feels like a 90s cartoon but in the 2000s, Nostalgia maybe?
Another reason might be because MLP:FiM is the manliest way to get those 'cutesy' feelings out of your system.

It's a good show, but the hype does it no favors, to be honest. If you go in thinking that it will be the best cartoon you've ever seen, you'll be hard to impress. It has a good quality of animation for a Flash show, and the scripts are well-written, the characters unique and memorable... But it is still definitely a kid's cartoon.
But if you go in with no expectations, it can slowly but surely grow on you, like it did with me. And by and large, the fanbase that's grown up around it can be very welcoming and friendly, and talented as hell. Some of the music I've heard that's been produced with this show as inspiration has been phenomenal (my personal fave, for the record:[link] ).
But really, for me, it's about just look forward to having a Saturday morning cartoon I watch every week like when I was a kid, but which still appeals to me as a grown-up illustrator and designer. It's just fun. :3

Ya I can see that and I don't hate the show, I don't mind it all but it's not something I would go out of my way to watch. I guess I'm more confused on why there is SO much hype and why SO many people love it, it's everywhere on the internet! I actually only know 1 person who likes it and don't talk to her much anymore but when I come on here I can't turn a page without seeing something lol
I love watching cartoons too though, it reminds me of when I was little as well and I like have them on in the background while on the computer
