Kinda replyin' to Lady-Moth and you, I'm pretty sure it'd be more of an: "ookeh" and "sehmeh" kinda thing. The 'kay' sound would come with an 'i' after the 'e', I'm pretty sure:
a - ah (as in pawn)
i - ee (as in real)
e - eh (as in elephant)
u - oo (as in boom)
o - oh (as in oak)
ei - 'eh' + 'ee' = ay (as in fake)
