Description Was looking for a way to relax after a couple of stressful days, and decided to paint the character Newt from Aliens. Played by Carrie Henn. Went for a more loose, painterly feel with this one. Was fun.

This is utterly mindblowing for a painting!! O_O It looked like a photograph from a distance, but now I can see the painterly brush work that went into its composition, and it turned out beautifully. I like the old canvas looking texture implemented into the picture, and you captured Newt's likeness with flying colours... no pun intended. Beautiful use of lighting as well.
