Life was so much better for Starscream when he was with Jetfire(Skyfire) in the past. Now he chooses to follow Megatron down a dark path that changes him. It makes you wonder what could've been.

At the fringe of Starscream's being, I can see this occurring--but he chooses Megatron and power over Skyfire and friendship. We see the tragedy, but SS's consciousness can't.
