That tower is epic! I get this really spooky fairytale image in my head when I see it.

Thank you for your comment. Fairytale image indeed. Just picture Rapunzel and her oh so handsome prince! The reality is probably less fairytale like. Although the purpose of the towers is not known for certain, the most likely purpose is as a bell tower but another theory (and one I prefer!)is that the monks and their religious relics took refuge in the tower from attacks by Vikings etc. There is no entrance at ground level but there is a doorway about 11ft-12ft (3.5mtrs)from the ground. Don't ask me how they got in there! Perhaps the monks had very long hair!!

The story about Vikings sounds fun. I'm from Sweden so I think I like that one best too. 
You know, the more I look at this picture the more I itch for it to turn into a fairytale of some sort. So, I have to ask, do you think you could let me use it for a photomanipulation? Of course I'll give you all rightful credit and you can have high-res copy of the picture when it is done.
