This illustration is just stunning!

I was never a big friend of pinocchio -don't ask me why but I didn't like that sweet face at all- and this kind of "remake" is one I really like.

The lines are wonderful clearly and the colors are kept simple and I think it's a good choise because the face and nose is placed in the center.

If you think at the title at the same time I think this is a great traditional drawing with classic-style-effect and a little thrill because it doesn't actually show at the first sight that this guy here used to be the sweetheart from Pinnochio.

"Meaner" is right! This is borderline nightmare fuel - and I say that to praise the atmosphere of the piece and the brilliantly expressive linework. That rictus grin is so well done and frankly terrifying!

Man... I love how sinister the details in this make Pinocchio look, from his twisted smile to his hollow eyes. Really effective use of line, and the wooden surface really adds to the effect.
