This is so sweet and cute! I love how innocent the scene is. Akane looks like she's protecting Ranma, who looks simply adorable like that. Wonderful job.

First let me say Amazing artwork, I love it!
Secondly, I agree the anime didn't really end, but neither did the manga really. I'd say if you want a nicer conclusion or continuation of the story, go look for a well written fan fiction.
Yes granted some of them are rather average, but then there are those that are (in my opinion) fantastic.

True.. it wouldn't be Ranma without that kinda stuff happening, but it does get a little old now and then. I still haven't tried to find and watch any season past...ah... whatever one had him in the iron-girdle and risking anorexia....but I know at some point they drop the pretense of hating each other a little bit, but it also apparently became a lot more filler-esque by that point. And then there's the lame ending I've heard about. It's too bad it all got kinda cut off like that, but at least it's likely stuff like this happened afterward I guess.

the ending is super lame. I prefer the way the manga went along with their feelings. Um..even in City Hunter the same deal. You just never quite see them have a moment. It just never happens.

I... I can't help but wonder if Akane is feeling something for female Ranma here. That look in her eyes seems almost confused *^_^*

I can't help but notice how beautiful Ranma is dressed. I feel like this is during some kind of reconciliation, or even an earnest spiritual exploration of her feminine side at the same time.

Yeah it's definitely very dressy. Especially for Ranma. Akane seems pretty simple for the most part.
