Description
This was a project me and a friend joked about doing when getting drunk at the pub (here he is ) A few weeks later and the project was underway. we didn't get much help until the day the gallery was being put up, it was a miracle it was finished in timethe concept was 'If you can make work, why not make a gallery to put it in'. the work exhibited inside was from the students off my visual arts course.
The gallery stood for two days and was a huge success

Wow that looks like so much fun! I'm tempted to make one myself. I'm going to be taking a couple of art classes this coming semester and maybe I can get some of my class mates to participate.

That is such an amazing concept! For people who haven't been in some posh gallery or who just want to show off the work that they've done, it's perfect. And the fact that it was so successful as you say makes me a little hopeful. I may even "borrow" the idea from you someday. I have a lot of artist friends who would love it.

In all honesty just time at the moment. I'm pretty sure my boss from this summer could help set me up with some local artists that wouldn't mind it and might even lend us some space outside her museum she runs to do it. She really wants to expand the gallery area and it might help make people realize that she has enough artists to keep an expanded area filled with new and interesting art if we did it. I just got to find a time that would work for her and for the various other people that would get involved in it. Wish us luck.

sounds like you got some good sorces there. you know somone with a gallery space? thats good. if she wants to expand why not look here for art? people will be more than willing to send art and evern pool a little money if promisted it will be exhibited, myslef included. having work from all over the world may raise the profile of the place. as far as cardbored gallery goes. its cheep. all you need is a hand full of like minded people. im hopeing to rebuild with a fellow artist and travle with it. i do indeed wish you luck.
