Something relatively random from me, but I really like it! To me, it looks like a book cover. ^_^I'm kind of in an art rut for some reason >_< and I can't seem to put anything down on paper that I plan out beforehand. So, I've been trying to draw more Disney stuff, and some of the prizes I have to draw for ~disney-princess-club , but I just can't seem to do it.
So, for this one, I just started off with a circle on the page where her head is, and started drawing from there. I'm really really happy with how it came out! The tree is my favorite tree I've ever done, and it actually looks like a tree! (As opposed to a poor artist's rendition of a tree, which most of mine come out like.)
The title comes from one of my coworkers- he said the tree looked like an elephant's foot, so I told him I'd call it "The Elephant Tree".

Wow - really beautiful work. I love the tree - I really like the way it cuts through the image and creates these little frames of the background. The overall image has a really graceful flow to it. Love how the warmth of the background works with the cool gray of the tree.

The background really adds to this picture. Your detail on the tree is amazing. All those lines for color must have taken you forever to do. >_<
Her expression seems kind of sad. I love the shading on her hair and dress. I also love the simple elegance her dress adds to the picture.

Aw, thanks! ^_^ The tree was actually really fun to do, and came out a lot better than I thought it would! (It took a while, but I mostly colored it over the summer in a 4 hour long class, so it helped pass the time really well.
Yeah, I don't know if she's just neutral or sad. I'm not really sure what she's thinking here.

I try to give all of my people natural looking body types. I'm so sick of seeing every single cartoon character either super skinny, or super fat (and usually made fun of for it). People don't fit into one or the other! I love drawing curvy girls. ^_^ I'm glad you like them, hun!

Yeah, I'm kind of a perfectionist when it comes to my art- I spend weeks, sometimes, coloring something, just to make sure it's exactly right.

The tree is very beautiful! If it was brown (and not grey XD) it would be very similar to a Magnolia (I don't know which is the english name for it 
I really really like it: the colouring is wonderful, even better from your old pics: it means that you're improving! Maybe you couldn't draw anything 'cause you had to develop completely this improvement ^^
