It's ShadeofShinon 's birthday.
I really like her emerald Nuzlocke for a lot of reasons, so I figured I'd do some fan art of her Mightyena Fenrir. Did I mention Mightyena is one of my favorite Pokemon for sentimental reasons? Well, Fenrir is one of my favorite characters from her Nuzlocke. Besides, it's been a while since I've tried painting actual dogs rather than cartoon ones. I have my dog Penny to act as sort of a reference.

Aaah, this is so lovely! It makes me glad to hear there are people who appreciate Mightyena and that you like Fenrir. He's a character that most seem to like a lot but I've come across some who have zero sympathy for him whatsoever. I'm very glad that you decided to draw him, probably because I kinda miss seeing him myself since he hasn't really made many appearances lately.
This picture is so nice. I like the atmosphere and the sense of strength of some kind in this picture. Fenrir looks so confident here, also very refreshing to what he's been like lately. You drew him very nicely as well, I like the anatomy and proportions and the shape of the head. Possibly using your own dog as a reference paid off.

They certainly look cool, even though their stats aren't much to be desired. They're still a favorite design-wise though.

It would of been awesome if he got a mega and became dragon type but I can dream can't I lol! Amphros got a dragon typing whenever it hits mega so why not mightyena
