"Captain?"

Heeyyy, look what I finally finished coloring! This, in addition to two non-TS drawings, has been my main coloring project for the last several days. I've also been very busy with something else (more on that later) so it's taking me longer to get things done. This is a scene from Brahma Bear's fan fiction "No Time for a Hero" (read here: www.fanfiction.net/s/12733681/… ) and was one seriously traumatic and emotional part to say the least. The whole chapter hit me right in the feels. Sorry, no spoilers -- you know what to do! This picture was done a little differently in that I didn't use any inks (or digital shading) on Kit. I wanted him to be blurry and transparent... he's a figment of Karnage's mind in this scene, after all. I (very lightly) colored "through" him and added the clouds so I wouldn't darken his eyes too much. I was also going for a night time effect but if you'd like to see an alternative "day time" version, here: sta.sh/0hm23v21ag3

Now let me apologize for the lack of art in the last week. The annual "100 by Summer Dog Walking Challenge" started on Wednesday and I've been a little obsessed with hiking... especially since the weather has been nice! I've walked over 33 miles already. The goal is to hit 100 by the first day of summer, I usually end up doing about 500. That said, I'm working to find some balance. Drawing and hiking with my dogs are my two biggest passions and they're equally important to me.
