Declawing is such a horrible thing. When people ask me about it I don't hesitate to use the word "mutilation" and "amputation" because that's what it is. It makes me sick how many vets do it because it's more money. Whatever happened to them being in it for the animals? Because clearly that isn't the case with those types. (And I've been asked if I'd rather a cat be declawed or killed at a shelter because the person couldn't declaw. Which is beyond stupid because if an adult cat is declawed there's a high chance of the cat biting or not using the litter box in which case the "owner" would dump it at a shelter anyway to be killed. And it would be the owner's fault. 100%). I really hope one day soon this barbaric "practice" is made illegal in the US.
