Alrighty, here's the cover to a story I'm thinking I may start. I've seen a few really good horse comics on here and, seeing as I enjoy drawing horses, I thought 'what the heck'. So anyway, I'm going to go for it.I'm thinking that it will probably start out with the adventures of Nuada as a foal and work up to him being an adult, but we'll see. Stay tuned for more info.
Anyway, about the art itself... ugh. I started the horse before I realized that there might be an easy way to do this, so I shaded as I went and nearly drove myself batty trying to keep from messing the whole thing up. As you can see, I only partially succeeded. At any rate, I'd love to hear comments and critiques *hint, hint*. Thanks!

Very nice picture, the unuasual pose caught my eye. The horse's face and especially mouth turned out really well, though the blue shading could be a little more blue-grey that bright blue. I love all the markings and striped hooves!

Thank you. I have to say, I agree with you on the color of blue. It looks awfully bright with hindsight being twenty-twenty.

Very nice! The horse is lovely, and what a pose!
For CC's, well, I don't know anything about digital art, so there is nothing I can say about that. The horse does look rather "pasted" on the background. I suppose that has to do with the outlining, especially when there's a white line outside the black one. If it's intentional, then no problem, but if you want to go for a realistic approach, then it would be better to merge the subject into the background a bit more.
Another thing I noticed, the water in the background makes the horse look like a unicorn from the thumb (I thought it was

Thank you very much! LOL, I hadn't noticed the "horn" but spot on there. Odd how that happened. I'll admit that I got rather lazy with the background so it doesn't really surprise me that it looks a bit strange. Maybe I'll try for a more realistic version later.
