Description Alrighty, here's the cover to a story I'm thinking I may start. I've seen a few really good horse comics on here and, seeing as I enjoy drawing horses, I thought 'what the heck'. So anyway, I'm going to go for it.

I'm thinking that it will probably start out with the adventures of Nuada as a foal and work up to him being an adult, but we'll see. Stay tuned for more info.

Anyway, about the art itself... ugh. I started the horse before I realized that there might be an easy way to do this, so I shaded as I went and nearly drove myself batty trying to keep from messing the whole thing up. As you can see, I only partially succeeded. At any rate, I'd love to hear comments and critiques *hint, hint*. Thanks!

Anything I noticed has already been said.
Very nice picture, the unuasual pose caught my eye. The horse's face and especially mouth turned out really well, though the blue shading could be a little more blue-grey that bright blue. I love all the markings and striped hooves!

Thank you. I have to say, I agree with you on the color of blue. It looks awfully bright with hindsight being twenty-twenty.

Very nice! The horse is lovely, and what a pose!
For CC's, well, I don't know anything about digital art, so there is nothing I can say about that. The horse does look rather "pasted" on the background. I suppose that has to do with the outlining, especially when there's a white line outside the black one. If it's intentional, then no problem, but if you want to go for a realistic approach, then it would be better to merge the subject into the background a bit more.
Another thing I noticed, the water in the background makes the horse look like a unicorn from the thumb (I thought it was ), because it's placed above the scull and so much brighter than the rest. It looks correct in full size, though. Just an oddity from shrinking the pic I guess.

Thank you very much! LOL, I hadn't noticed the "horn" but spot on there. Odd how that happened. I'll admit that I got rather lazy with the background so it doesn't really surprise me that it looks a bit strange. Maybe I'll try for a more realistic version later.
